Caring For Your Jewellery

20143

Stud Earrings

Supremily stud earrings have surgical stainless steel posts and are hypo allergenic. Each little earring has been sculpted, rolled and cured. Glazed, carved and glued. The glue sets after 24 hours and cures after 72. It is an industrial strength high quality glue.

The earrings are made individually, and due to their handmade credentials are not meant to be worn while bathing, showering or swimming. Doing so could potentially shorten the life of the glue.  They are however, designed to be slept in. The short ear post has been specially selected so they are comfortable for sleeping in.

Do not wear them for weeks and weeks at a time. Wear them for a few days, then remove. This will allow the glue to come back to room temperature and 'set' again.

After years of trial and error, I no longer use super glue!

If cared for properly, your earrings will last you a long and happy time.

General care instructions...

Polymer clay is extremely durable. It's a waterproof material and can deal with being dropped and bashed around, although not advised! Your new jewellery likes to be cared for!

Most of the final pieces have been glazed with a water based satin finish. If your beads get dirty, especially any with any white detail, then the beads can simply be wiped clean and then buffed with a piece of denim

If any scuffs occur, these can be sanded using a fine grade wet sand paper. If the beads get really dirty, these can also be sanded with wet sandpaper held under running water.

Necklaces, bracelets and pendants are strung with the highest quality nylon coated steel wire, leather, elastic or waxed cotton cord. All pieces are finished with hallmarked 925 sterling silver findings.

All Supremily Jewellery holds a lifetime guarentee. Does your jewellery need a re-vamp? Please use the contact section in the menu with your request. You can also visit me at the stall anytime to have a chat!
